KAPUAS RIVER

Now, I’ll describe about Kapuas River.

          This is Kapuas River. The location of Kapuas River at Kalimantan Selatan. This place so good for the people who want to enjoy the water natural scenery, and this place also good place for the people who want to see “Pasar Kapuas”.

          Kapuas River is the long river I think. I can speak it, because when I went there, I must attack ± 8 km for back to my first place before I stroll this river.

          Then, this river have many function.

First, this place can to be a traditional market that called “Pasar Terapung”. Why that called “Pasar Terapung”? Because, the inhabitant do the transaction between the seller and the buyer on the boat at the river.

          Second, this river can to be the second bathroom for the people who live around it. Why that place called the second bathroom? Because, the inhabitant take a bath there, and they also defecate there. But, don’t worry. This place are not dirty and there are not have a spoiled aroma.

          By the way, at the river bank, we are can find many plant who can be the lesson. For example, there are many mangrove tree for decrease the abration.

          And there is also have a place like a zoo. But, there is just have a monkey for to be a tourism place.

          And there, we can find a special food in Kalimantan Selatan. You know what is that? This is “Soto Banjar”. And we can eat it on the boat. BUT, for the people who have a illness, don’t be eat on the boat because you will be queasy and then you can vomit.
